The BIND Open Innovation and Acceleration Programme connects dynamic startup teams with established companies to provide external solutions to their internal digital transformation challenges, while promoting the development of commercial skills and fostering the integration of startups into the local ecosystem, catalysing new business opportunities.
BIND is a public–private open innovation programme driven by the Basque Government, which since 2016 has been connecting startups with corporations to co-create advanced technological solutions. Through this initiative, selected startups gain access to paid contracts with major companies, high-level mentoring, international visibility, and direct access to the Basque innovation ecosystem.
It is aimed at national and international startups with innovative solutions, either already on the market or at an advanced stage, which can be applied to one or more of the 12 challenges put forward by the partner companies. These challenges include: industrial process digitalisation, robotics, sustainability, traceability, circular economy, digital health, customer experience, simulation, applied AI, cybersecurity, among others.
