NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025

The NASA Space Apps Challenge is NASA’s global hackathon, which every year brings together thousands of people around the world to tackle real challenges using space, scientific, and technological data.

Participation is open to all ages and backgrounds: from students to professionals, as well as artists, engineers, or scientists. The key is multidisciplinary collaboration, where everyone contributes their vision and creativity.

This edition will feature 19 official challenges proposed by NASA experts, covering a wide range of topics: from designing a recycling system for Mars, to creating applications that predict weather at events, developing digital children’s stories about space weather, or even tracking sharks through satellite data.

This year’s motto, “Learn, Launch, Lead!”, captures the spirit of the event: not only to learn, but also to shape new ideas, lead projects, and collaborate across disciplines.

Innovation, creativity, and the search for solutions to today’s challenges—such as the environment, waste management, air quality, and sustainability—will be at the heart of the experience, alongside the excitement of space exploration.

Check the website for upcoming events worldwide and their specific dates.

Be a part of this annual global hackathon on October 4-5.
