GoCircular Pass, the first seal of quality for circular economy start-ups, is a distinction awarded to those with the greatest potential to advance packaging circularity. It was created by Ecoembes and TheCircularLab.
We would like to welcome the Radar start-ups that have recently been awarded the GoCircular Pass, in recognition of their outstanding work and innovative proposals to transform the sustainable packaging sector.
Here is a closer look at the work of each of them:
Rhinopaq GmbH manufactures reusable packaging for businesses (B2B), designed to last up to 20 cycles, after which they are fully reincorporated into the recycling process. Currently, the packaging consists of 60% recycled material. This enables companies to save up to 40% on packaging costs. In addition, Rhinopaq collaborates with a workshop for people with disabilities, who process the packaging between cycles.

- Peelon is a start-up dedicated to tackling food waste through innovative packaging solutions. Its main activity focuses on developing and producing 100% biodegradable and compostable packaging materials, such as coatings, shrink wraps, and bags, which significantly extend the shelf life of fresh products. By incorporating natural ripening inhibitors and antimicrobial properties into their packaging, fruits and vegetables can remain fresh for up to three times longer than with conventional methods.

- Yoran Imaging uses cutting-edge thermal imaging technology to revolutionise the filling and heat-sealing process on packaging lines across a wide range of sectors, including food and beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumer goods, and electronic components.

- Sustanix develops and synthesises its own biopolymer and coating formulation, without modifying commercially available polymers. This allows the properties of the coating to be adjusted according to different requirements.
Planeten Panter AB offers a digital platform to manage reusable packaging in takeaway food services for businesses selling food and beverages. The platform enables customers to choose reusable packaging instead of single-use alternatives at the point of purchase, making it both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. The reusable packaging is registered by the user in Panter’s web app at the time of purchase and can then be returned to any Panter-affiliated restaurant for cleaning and reuse.

- Recircular provides a platform that helps companies give a second life to their waste, generating economic, environmental, and social benefits. Its algorithm informs users of the reuse possibilities for each waste stream and by-product, and connects waste generators with potential consumers to replace raw material needs. The platform also offers space for users to close transactions within the system, while automatically calculating the benefits generated. In addition, it has developed an Impact Measurement Methodology covering reductions in carbon footprint, water and energy consumption, or improvements in life expectancy.
Congratulations to all of them on receiving the GoCircular Pass and for contributing to a more sustainable future for packaging.
