This EIT RawMaterials call, co-funded by the EU, focuses on scaling up innovative technologies in raw materials (mining, materials processing and recycling/circularity). It seeks projects with validated technology that require pilot, demonstration or scale-up steps before entering the market.
Funding and conditions:
- Grant amount per project: from €500,000 up to €2.5M
- Minimum co-funding: 30% of the total budget (higher co-funding scores better)
- Duration: up to 2.5 years; shorter timelines are encouraged. Commercialisation should take place within 2 years after the end of the project
- Technology readiness level (TRL): ≥ TRL 5 at the start; target to reach TRL 8 (close to market)
Who can apply (consortia):
- At least 2 partners from Horizon Europe eligible countries
- Must represent at least two sides of the knowledge triangle: education, research, industry/business
Deadlines (cut-offs 2025):
Register your proposal before 13:00 CET (Berlin time) in the last cut-off: 28 November 2025 (cut-off 5)
Evaluation criteria (as outlined in the EIT RawMaterials SeedBook platform): clarity of the commercialisation plan and financial sustainability (e.g. equity, revenue sharing), and contribution to Europe’s raw materials and circular economy objectives.
