Atlético de Madrid, through AtletiLab and in collaboration with Telefónica, has launched Open Connect, an international open innovation call aimed at identifying solutions that can drive real impact in sustainability, accessibility, and inclusion within the sports sector.
The program is seeking companies, startups, and scale-ups that already have a viable product or prototype and are developing tools capable of generating meaningful change. Applications will be evaluated based on their level of innovation, their potential impact within the Club, and the feasibility of implementation. The winning project will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with Atlético de Madrid and Telefónica, receive a €10,000 award, and deploy its solution in an elite sports environment during the 2026/2027 season.
The call will remain open until January 30, 2026. The winner will be announced before the end of the 2025/2026 season, after which the development and implementation process of the selected proposal will begin.
