AKIN is building the first bio-refinery for complete rubber recycling. Their enzyme-powered bio-refinery slots into existing tire recycling processes, enabling recyclers to refine end-products to virgin-like rubber quality and boost product prices by 2.5x. They already have tire recycler and manufacturer partnerships through their tire analytics consulting services. They received 500k in non-dilutive in the summer of 2025, and plan to raise their first investment round of 1.5 in 2026.
