The Raw Materials Partnership has launched its first transnational joint call to fund research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain.

The call brings together 39 funding organisations from 27 countries, with a total budget commitment of close to €40 million.
What it is
RAMP is looking for projects that improve access to raw materials, promote circular economy practices, reduce social and environmental costs, and contribute to sustainable industrial development.
The call covers six areas, including primary supply, secondary sources, resource-efficient design and production, technological barriers to circularity, circular models and practices, and value-chain analysis using data, traceability and life-cycle assessment.
Who it is for
The call is open to transnational consortia of at least three partners applying for funding in three participating countries. Eligible participants may include universities, research centres, SMEs, large companies, consultancies, municipalities, public bodies and other eligible organisations.
The call covers almost the entire raw materials value chain through a range of topics. Among the most relevant are:
Topic 2 – Secondary sources: recovery of raw materials from end-of-life products, industrial and municipal waste, or landfills; recycling and recovery technologies, urban mining, incorporation of secondary raw materials, and material flow analysis.
Topic 3 – Design & production: resource-efficient production, ecodesign, facilitating reuse and recycling, substitution of critical raw materials, and digital monitoring and traceability tools.
Topic 4 – Technological barriers to circularity: technologies for reuse, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing, repurposing, dismantling and reverse logistics.
Topic 6 – Raw-material value chains: data, modelling, LCA, end-of-life analysis, material flows, and tools to improve supply-chain transparency and traceability.
How to participate
The first stage requires the submission of a pre-proposal by 22 September 2026 at 15:00 CEST. Only invited consortia will be able to submit a full proposal, with the deadline currently scheduled for 15 February 2027.
