The call is open until 6 October 2026 at 17:00 and has a total budget of €40 million.
What it is
The funding supports two types of projects: research projects and showcase projects. Research projects can receive up to €1.5 million, while demonstration or pilot projects can receive up to €7.5 million.
The areas covered include improving packaging design to increase recyclability, recovering plastics from waste streams that are currently incinerated, pretreatment of mixed plastic waste, automated sorting, mechanical recycling, dissolution, depolymerisation, and the recycling of rubber or thermoset materials.
Who it is for
The call is aimed at consortia involving at least two organisations, including at least one company. All participating organisations must have a registered office or branch in the Netherlands.
It may be particularly relevant for companies that produce, process, use, collect or recycle plastics, as well as researchers and technology providers.

Applications can be submitted until 6 October 2026. It is a particularly relevant opportunity for startups and SMEs with operations or partners in the Netherlands.
