AGC Innovate (Pvt) Ltd, a Sri Lanka-based green innovation company that has developed Plastic Modified Asphalt Concrete (PMAC), a high-performance road construction material that converts non-recyclable plastic like plastic bags, shopping bags and biscuit wrappers which has no economic value into durable asphalt infrastructure. Globally, over 400 million tons of plastic are produced each year, with a significant portion mismanaged or ending up in landfills and waterways. At the same time, developing economies are investing heavily in transport and urban infrastructure, creating an opportunity to address both challenges through circular solutions.
