NASA launches the Lunar Surface Technology Recycling Prize

NASA launches the Lunar Surface Technology Recycling Prize, an exciting challenge that invites innovators from around the globe to develop advanced recycling technologies for missions on the lunar surface. This competition seeks creative solutions to process waste generated during lunar operations, transforming it into valuable resources to ensure the sustainability of future space explorations.

💡 What kind of ideas are they looking for? Technologies capable of recycling materials such as metals, plastics, and organic waste under the extreme conditions of the lunar surface. These innovations will not only support long-term missions on the Moon but also have the potential to positively impact waste management here on Earth.

🎯 Who can participate? Teams from all over the world are encouraged to join the challenge, with a total prize pool of $1.15 million for the best projects.
