GREENCITIES is an event dedicated to urban intelligence and sustainability. It brings together municipal decision-makers, tech companies, start-ups, and public entities to discuss and showcase innovative solutions for the smart and sustainable management of territories. The event is structured around three main thematic areas:

Urban Arena: Focused on innovation in city management, urban policies, digitalisation, and pioneering projects.

Sustainability Arena: Centred on decarbonisation, energy, circular and blue economy, efficient water management, and green spaces.

S-Moving Arena: Dedicated to smart, connected, and sustainable mobility, with a focus on innovative infrastructure.
In addition, there will be the Green Plaza, a dynamic space for presenting innovative urban solutions, and the 4th edition of the “Open Call for Start-ups”, an initiative that brings together start-ups with disruptive solutions for territorial management and improving quality of life in municipalities of all sizes.

Startups are also invited to take part in the “Open Call for Start-ups”, where they can present innovative solutions related to smart and sustainable territorial management. The aim of this call is to highlight and give visibility to startups leading projects and initiatives that address the challenges of the urban agenda, offering real solutions to the needs of municipalities—regardless of their size or geographic location.
The winning startup will receive a €1,000 cash prize, media visibility, promotional and branding support, as well as an individual 10-minute pitch presentation of their project and six access passes to the exhibition area and forums at Greencities 2026.
