Aegis Packaging is a Singapore-based barrier technology company. We develop and manufacture O2X, a patented water-based high oxygen barrier coating that lets flexible packaging move from complex, non-recyclable multilayer structures (aluminium foil, metallised PET, EVOH, nylon) to recyclable mono-material structures, without losing barrier performance or shelf life. O2X is applied at 0.3-0.4 gsm on existing rotogravure coating and lamination lines, so converters need no new barrier machinery. Coated mono-PE and mono-PP structures achieve high oxygen barrier and have been independently assessed at 94-95 percent recyclability (cyclos-HTP). Since 2018 we have run 50+ paid trials across 12 countries, with 10+ commercial products on shelf in food applications including roasted nuts, sauces and coffee. We supply the coating technology and qualify its application: customers run O2X on their own lines or through certified coating partners.
