Green Tech Africa transforms invasive water hyacinth and similar organic waste into KUKIA®, a 100% bio-based absorbent that cleans up oil and liquid industrial pollutants. We collect biomass that would otherwise go to landfill, process it into absorbent fibers, and deliver them to industrial, logistics, and environmental service clients for spill management. Used products are recovered and repurposed as alternative fuel for cement kilns, creating a fully circular system. Our activities reduce pollution, restore ecosystems, and generate sustainable income for local communities, including over 700 harvesters, 85% of whom are women, while supporting the growth of micro-industries and circular economy solutions.
