Kyuka Ventures is a climate-tech social enterprise based in Uganda that transforms plastic waste into clean, affordable cooking fuel for underserved households. Leveraging our proprietary Soot-Free Reactive Extraction Technology (SFRET), we upcycle five types of post consumer plastics into high-quality LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), distributed through a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) model. This enables low-income families to access clean energy in affordable units while reducing plastic pollution and carbon emissions. Our model integrates women and youth waste collectors, promotes circular economy principles, and leverages AI to optimize logistics, impact tracking, and predictive maintenance. By closing the loop between waste and energy, Kyuka Ventures improves public health, combats deforestation, and accelerates a just energy transition across East Africa.
