Recycling, reducing the use of plastic materials, and limiting the exploitation of natural resources are three fundamental objectives in the ecological transition process. Bringing them together in a single start-up through patented technological processes is the mission of Mixcycling. Founded in February 2021, this young company based in Vicenza transforms vegetable-based agro-industrial waste into new biocomposite materials, mixing them with virgin, recycled, or bio-based polymers.
Whether it's wood, rice husks, bamboo, cork, or grape marc, it makes no difference to Mixcycling: the fibers are selected, ground, and sanitized using a cold plasma process that eliminates odors and bacteria, and then mixed with the polymer component, which can be tailored to meet specific needs.
