PLAEX Technologies (founded 2020, Enschede, NL) is a deep-tech hardware + AI company delivering automated circular-waste infrastructure that supports high-quality source separation and waste auditing in public and commercial spaces. Our flagship product: Garby Vision, combines proprietary AI and a cloud analytics platform to identify, and report on multiple waste items at the moment of disposal. Deployments with commercial partners (FC Twente & PreZero) have validated the solution in high-traffic, real-world situations and demonstrated reductions in residual waste and collection costs in pilot settings.
Our vision is to create the hardware and digital backbone for circular waste management: by supporting accurate source separation, traceable material flows, and measurable Scope-3 reductions, enabling municipalities, facilities and waste operators to meet EU recycling targets and regulatory reporting (e.g. Waste Framework Directive 2018/851) while lowering operational cost.
