Plantloop Biotech Corporation is a Canadian company developing and manufacturing certified home compostable materials and products designed to replace conventional plastics. Our core technology is a compostable resin made with plant based components, including bamboo or tea fibres combined with compostable biopolymers. The resin is compatible with most conventional plastic processing machinery and can be used to manufacture many of the same product formats as traditional plastic, making it suitable for applications well beyond food service and packaging. Our current products include drinking straws, cutlery, reusable bottles, cups, lids and compostable bags, with options for custom sizes, colours and branding. Plantloop operates a manufacturing facility in Richmond, British Columbia, and works with international production partners. Our main activities include material development, product design, manufacturing and the commercial supply of practical alternatives to conventional plastic.
