S.Lab is a deep tech startup founded by Julia Bialetska and Eugene Tomilin, initially established in Ukraine and then registered in Estonia in 2022. S.Lab developed a proprietary technology that combines agricultural waste with mycelium to produce 100% compostable packaging. The material has all the same features as polystyrene in terms of thermal insulation and water resistance, but after the usage it will fully biodegrade in the soil without any trace in 30 days. This innovation, covered by 5 pending EU patents, integrates advanced robotics and innovative processing techniques, offering an industrially scalable solution adaptable to various market demands. The technology serves multiple industries, including beauty, electronics, fashion, and pharmaceuticals. In the past year, the company set up the first pilot production line in Malaga, Spain, with an initial capacity of 5,000 units/month.
