Tilestic is an Egyptian climate-tech company that has developed an innovative, proprietary technology for transforming single-use plastic waste, including plastic bags and packaging waste, into sustainable building materials. We have successfully developed and launched our products in the market, offering commercially available building materials made from recycled plastic waste. Since 2023, Tilestic has recycled approximately 1,400 tons of plastic waste, turning a major environmental challenge into valuable construction products. Our technology provides a practical circular solution for plastic waste while reducing dependence on conventional raw materials used in construction. We also created employment and training opportunities for 15 workers from underserved rural communities. Tilestic is currently selling its products in Egypt and working to scale its proven technology and market presence across Africa.
