Trash Monger Limited

Trash Monger Limited is a Nigerian circular economy social enterprise building practical infrastructure for post-consumer packaging recovery and recycling. We connect households, businesses and institutions to collection, sorting and recycling systems, recovering plastics, cartons, cans and metals and supplying them as secondary raw materials to manufacturers. Our model combines community-based collection and sorting with solar-powered recovery infrastructure, electric collection vehicles and digital tools, including our developing Sort at Source platform for source separation, collection requests, incentives and material-flow data. To date, we have diverted 3,500+ tonnes of waste and created 500+ direct and indirect green jobs, with a strong focus on women and underserved communities. We are developing the digital and physical infrastructure needed to make post-consumer packaging more recoverable, measurable and traceable in fragmented markets such as Nigeria.
