Uluu

Uluu turns farmed seaweed into natural PHA materials that replace fossil plastics in packaging, products and textiles. They deliver the things we value in plastic: strength, durability and water resistance, while enabling packaging designed for reuse, recycling and composting without persistent microplastic pollution. Our proprietary saltwater fermentation process uses seaweed grown without arable land or freshwater. We supply pellets that run on existing plastics manufacturing equipment, helping brands adopt new materials through their established suppliers. Our current packaging focus is injection-moulded jars, lids, caps and closures for beauty and personal care. We work with brands and manufacturers on formulation, production trials and product qualification. Commercial launches with Quiksilver and Papinelle, alongside cosmetics packaging trials, demonstrate our progress from material development to everyday products.
