,Wananchi Eco Solutions is a circular economy enterprise based in Uganda transforming neglected glass waste into valuable, affordable and high-quality products for everyday life. We collect discarded glass bottles from communities and businesses, then upcycle them through low-energy processes such as sorting, cleaning, cutting, sanding and finishing into durable STEM laboratory ware for schools, drinking glasses, kitchenware and decoration items . In a system where glass is often dumped because it has little resale value, we create a new pathway where waste becomes opportunity thereby reducing pollution, keeping materials in circulation and creating local green jobs. At the same time, we contribute to import substitution by producing locally made alternatives to commonly imported glass products. Our long-term goal is to grow into a central recycling and upcycling hub, starting with glass as our core material stream.
