Bi-rex is an Italian innovative startup and Benefit Company developing ReVita, a circular technology that transforms agro-food by-products, such as rice husks, cereal bran, brewery residues, coffee grounds and fruit-processing residues, into functional fibres for paper and packaging.
Instead of treating these residues as waste, ReVita converts them into a new local raw material that can partially replace conventional virgin cellulose fibres in paper and board production.
Our technology has already been validated at industrial scale and is used to develop packaging-grade paper and board for real applications, including boxes, secondary packaging, displays and other fibre-based solutions.
