Woamy offers cellulose-based biofoams to replace plastic foams in protective packaging. Our patented biofoam is fully recyclable with cardboard, biodegradable and made from renewable raw materials, while being highly customizable and soft to touch. Woamy's technology is inspired by nature and built on over a decade of research at Aalto University. It addresses growing market demand for sustainable protective packaging, especially for products requiring protection beyond the capabilities of conventional fibre-based materials. Woamy enables brands to remove plastic inserts from their packaging, while complying with legislation and reducing packaging CO₂ footprint. Woamy is recyclable in existing paper recycling stream, can use recycled fibre content as feedstock, and does not use any toxic chemicals or blowing gases in the manufacturing process, complying with important PPWR and REACH regulation. Woamy biofoams have up to 80% lower carbon footprint than traditional fossil-based foams.
