The 35 Under 35 Awards 2026 programme is now open for applications to recognise young professionals driving innovation and transformation in the environmental and sustainability sector. This international initiative focuses on the new generations leading change in areas such as recycling, waste, sustainability and the circular economy.
What it is
The 35 Under 35 Awards identify and showcase professionals under the age of 35 who stand out for their contribution to the environmental sector, their capacity for innovation and their impact within their organisations or communities.
The programme is promoted by letsrecycle.com and recognises emerging profiles linked to areas such as:
- Recycling and waste management
- Corporate sustainability
- Energy and the green transition
- Circular economy
- Environmental innovation
Selected candidates will become part of a professional network of young sector leaders.

The ceremony will take place during ESS Expo 2026, the Environmental Services & Solutions Expo, held on 16–17 September 2026 at the NEC Birmingham. ESS Expo is one of the UK’s leading events for the environmental services sector, bringing together professionals, companies, public authorities and solution providers working across circular economy, net-zero transition, sustainability, biodiversity, waste and resource management, water, energy, decarbonisation, land remediation, geotechnical engineering and air quality.
The event is expected to attract more than 16,000 attendees, 400+ expert speakers and 700+ environmental suppliers, making it a key meeting point for innovation, networking and practical learning in the sector.
