LIFE – EU programme

The main objective of LIFE, a programme created and managed by the EU, is to contribute to the goals of the EU’s environmental and climate policies, including the European Green Deal, the Biodiversity Strategy, Circular Economy, and climate neutrality by 2050.

LIFE funds pilot, demonstration, best practice, and environmental governance projects. It supports the implementation of EU legislation and policies in the environmental and energy fields and promotes capacity building and the replication of innovative solutions across different countries.
