This congress, also known as “Pathways to Planetary Wellbeing through Ecological Humanities”, is an invitation to reflect on our relationship with the planet.
The event will focus on the deep connections between Ecological Humanities and the concept of planetary wellbeing. It will explore the political, ethical, and social dimensions of this relationship, moving beyond purely technical approaches. The goal is to foster critical reflection on planetary boundaries, justice, and interconnectedness—promoting a form of humanism that is not solely centred on the human being.
Dates and Venue:
• Dates: 30 June – 1 July 2025
• Venue: Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona
The congress is aimed at all individuals and institutions interested in Ecological Humanities and in building a more sustainable future through a transdisciplinary and critical lens.
The working languages of the congress will be Spanish and English. For more information, including abstract submissions and registration, please visit this link.
