€6 million funding boost for advanced recycling technology

The start-up Fych Technologies has closed a €6 million funding round to scale its advanced recycling technology and launch its first industrial plant. The operation combines private investment and European funds, with notable participation from the EIC Fund and Lombard Odier Investment Managers through its strategy dedicated to plastic circularity.

Fych has developed a patented delamination and decontamination process that enables the recovery of materials from multi-layer packaging, one of the most challenging streams in the recycling sector. Thanks to this innovation, waste is transformed into high-purity, high-quality recycled pellets that can be reintroduced into new industrial applications.

The company expects its plant to become operational in early 2026, with an initial capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year. Its goal: to demonstrate the technical and economic viability of a new generation of recycling that can make true circularity possible for complex packaging.

With this milestone, Fych Technologies strengthens its role within the European recycling innovation ecosystem, providing real solutions to the challenge of waste and supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and competitive economy.
