Finalist at the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026

Greyparrot, an AI waste analytics company, has been named a finalist at the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026, one of the sector’s leading industry awards.
The awards, held as part of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRS Europe), recognise the most innovative solutions in plastics recycling each year, spanning materials, design and advanced processing technologies.

AI-driven waste intelligence for the value chain

Greyparrot has been shortlisted in the category of Technological Innovation in Machinery, for its packaging waste intelligence platform, Deepnest.

Deepnest leverages data from Greyparrot Analyzer, a network of 250+ AI camera systems deployed in recycling facilities across more than 20 countries, to provide brands and packaging producers with a detailed, product-level view of how their packaging moves through the waste stream, including what is sorted, recycled or lost. Deepnest is already being adopted by leading brands including Unilever, Asahi and L’Oreal to inform packaging design and prepare for EPR and PPWR regulations.

To date, Greyparrot data has enabled waste operators to improve sorting efficiency and reduce material loss, now, with the Deepnest platform, that data is giving brands, retailers and producers unprecedented visibility into how their packaging performs in real-world recycling systems.

Greyparrot’s selection as a finalist reflects the increasing role of data and AI in improving transparency and performance across the recycling value chain.

Recognition in a competitive field

The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe bring together companies and organisations from across the plastics value chain, with entries judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

Being named a finalist highlights solutions with strong potential to improve recycling outcomes and support circularity in plastics.

Winners will be announced at PRS Europe, taking place in Amsterdam in May 2026, where finalists will also be showcased.

Greyparrot’s approach reflects a broader shift towards data-driven recycling. By improving visibility into what is actually happening to materials after disposal, AI can help increase both the quantity and quality of materials recovered, while informing better packaging design and policy decisions.
