The GAP in Between is an international event taking place on 21st October 2025 at La Marina de Valencia. Organised by the Social Nest Foundation, the gathering aims to bring together a diverse range of stakeholders from the impact ecosystem to address today’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.

Key topics will include climate change and energy transition, social inclusion and equity, circular economy and sustainable business models, and financial innovation for the common good.
The programme is designed to offer a dynamic and enriching experience. It will feature inspiring talks and expert panels with leading figures from key sectors, exploring current trends and future visions. In addition, interactive workshops will invite participants to co-create innovative solutions in a collaborative setting.
Networking sessions will be a key highlight, providing the ideal space to build strategic connections and form valuable alliances.
The Startup Challenge
The event will also host the Startup Challenge, a competition in which 20 selected startups will pitch their projects to a panel of top investors and experts, opening doors to visibility and growth opportunities. This international challenge aims to accelerate entrepreneurship as a force for social and environmental transformation, offering visibility, resources, funding, and strategic connections to purpose-driven projects.
The Startup Challenge focuses on three key innovation verticals:

Cities of Tomorrow: smart cities, sustainable mobility, energy transition, urban governance, future housing, and more.

From Extraction to Regeneration: regenerative agriculture, bioconstruction, reforestation, sustainable proteins, rural empowerment, AgTech, biodiversity.

Socio-Economic Resilience: ethical AI, impact investing, mental wellbeing, community cohesion, digital literacy, youth-led change, resilient infrastructure.
Eligibility criteria:

Legally incorporated for at least one year

Validated MVP and a sustainable business model

Alignment with one of the three thematic verticals

Demonstrable positive social or environmental impact
Categories and prizes:

Early Stage: MVP launched, initial validation metrics, business model in development → Prize: €5,000

Growth Stage: Market traction, active customers, scalable business model → Prize: €10,000
