Transfiere is the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, an annual event held at the Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Málaga. Its aim is to connect universities, research centres, companies and public administrations to drive innovation projects, knowledge transfer and technological development.
It is considered one of the most relevant meetings in Spain and among the most important in Europe in the field of R&D&I. It serves as a key meeting point where science meets the market: researchers developing new technologies can find companies that need them, start-ups can seek funding, and public institutions can learn which advances to support.
The next edition will take place over three days, from 24 to 26 February 2026.
The focus areas will include:
-
Advanced materials and dual-use technologies (technologies applied in both civil and defence/industrial fields).
-
Innovation in health and biotechnology.
-
Quantum technologies and emerging applications.
-
Energy transition and sustainability, strengthening Europe’s technological autonomy.
-
University–industry knowledge transfer, that is, moving research into real-world markets.
In addition, the forum hosts professional networking, meeting agendas, round tables, project presentations, exhibition areas and dedicated spaces for start-ups.
The organisers have announced the launch of a call for European start-ups working in Deep Tech technologies.
It is particularly relevant for organisations involved in circular economy, sustainability, applied science and new technologies, as the forum offers visibility and access to strategic networks.
