Smart City Expo World Congress 2026 has launched a new edition of the World Smart City Awards, an international call recognising projects, strategies and initiatives that are transforming cities towards more sustainable, inclusive and efficient models.
The World Smart City Awards honour pioneering projects, visionary leaders and innovative strategies driving urban development worldwide.
The call seeks solutions that contribute to improving city management and quality of life, covering areas such as:
- Urban innovation
- Sustainability
- Social inclusion
- Digitalisation and technology
Selected projects will gain international visibility and recognition at one of the world’s leading global events on cities.
The call is open to a broad ecosystem of stakeholders:
- Cities and public administrations
- Companies and corporations
- Research centres and universities
- Organisations and social entities
- Startups and entrepreneurs
- Digital innovators and developers
Proposals with real or potential impact on urban development and citizens’ quality of life are particularly encouraged.

Interested organisations must submit their application through the official registration process.
