Four members of the Radar community have been selected as finalists in the Sustainability Awards 2026, organised by Packaging Europe. Kelpi, Bockatech, CLUBZERØ and Polytag have been recognised across different categories, showcasing the diversity of approaches being developed within the community to advance more circular, traceable and resource-efficient packaging systems.
Kelpi is a finalist in the Start-Up – New Materials category with its seaweed-based high-barrier coating. The UK company develops bio-based coatings designed to provide barrier properties for paper and fibre packaging while maintaining recyclability.
Bockatech has been shortlisted in two categories. In Reuse, the company and its partners are recognised for reuse schemes using its lightweight EcoCore® cups. It is also a finalist in the Climate category alongside Vestacy for an EcoCore cap developed for an Air Wick air freshener refill.
In Digital Transformation, CLUBZERØ has been selected for its national deposit return system for digital DRS. The company develops technology and systems designed to facilitate reusable packaging models and track packaging through return cycles.
Meanwhile, Polytag is competing in the Thinking Big category with Ecotrace, its packaging traceability infrastructure based on invisible UV tags and detection technology installed in recycling facilities.
Together, these finalists reflect the breadth of innovation within the Radar community, spanning bio-based materials, reuse, digital return systems and packaging traceability.
The winners will be announced on 11 November 2026 during the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Utrecht.
